My embroidery design focuses on slow textiles, using natural fibres and dyes to make decorative, playful pieces that are kind to the planet. Through traditional textile craft skills such as screen printing and embroidery, I create work centred around English botany and British landscapes. Using my work to communicate a sense of place through craft led textiles.

The pieces I make are a reaction to how I experience the environment I am in - the things I see, feel and connect with.

Moving towards a circular mode of making, I focus on the exploration of making objects, garments and spaces that create tactile, immersive and interactive environments to connect with.

The revival of old garments has always inspired my practice, breathing new life into used objects is a creative process that allows me to reimagine a piece of clothing in a different way.

Making your own mark through hand stitch is a way of connecting with the clothes we wear, and mending and decorating garments allows us to use them for longer, which is something that greatly inspires me.
